We’re excited about our new partnership with Alibre, Inc. which will deliver complete 3D content-to-print solutions that integrate our leading personal 3D printers with Alibre’s affordable CAD/CAM software. Alibre plans to demonstrate these “industry-first” bundles at the Bay Area Maker Faire, May 21st – 22nd, 2011, in the Expo Hall, at the San Mateo County Fair Grounds, San Mateo, CA.
Integrated bundles start at $1,500 and include Alibre Design Personal Edition™ software and 3D Systems’ RapMan™ color capable 3D printer kit. Available for $4,999 is the Alibre Design Professional Edition™ software and 3D Systems’ BFB 3000™ multi-color 3D printer with up to three print heads. Both bundles offer seamless import and export capabilities and direct printer interface.
“Together with Alibre we are personalizing design and manufacturing,” said Abe Reichental, President and CEO of 3D Systems. “The combined affordability and user friendliness of these 3D content-to-print bundles offer a clear and compelling choice for ‘makers’ and DIY’s to design and print their most complex creations instantly.”
